It is probably apparent at this point, but I strongly dislike family get togethers that last longer than 36 hours. This is because it is an extended period time where I don't get to sleep, eat or have fun in the way I'd like. The part I like to showcase to prove I'm mentally disadvantaged is that I head into each of these trips with visions of fun times only to forcibly remember that I'm essentially trapped in the middle of no where with people who only like to play cards to burn time.

I turn towards eating because my mind compels me to show the smallest signs of life which playing cards does not fulfill. So far I have consumed more Oreo look a-likes than I have consumed of Oreos or look a-likes in my lifetime.

Additionally, my family is traditional- we do breakfast and dinner together and eat crappy or no lunch. What ends up happening is that we pound food twice a day and tide the hunger pains away by getting milkshakes. I'll probably stop eating what everyone else is eating about noon tomorrow and have every one accost me for the rest of the week for not being part of the group, which evidently means maximizing my overweight potential. Yippee.

The hole in the plan is that we are no where near a grocery store and I don't have a car, so I'm stuck and can't get things I would eat.

I really hate family vacations.
