I have several interviews. For these interviews I'm breaking out all of my nice(r) clothes that have been wrinkled and gathering dust in my closet. I've found out that I have about four pairs of gray pants, one pair of black, two blue dress shirts, four ties and one white dress shirt and no idea how to iron any of them.
Not that I am clueless; I can spend a bit of time ironing a shirt, hang it up and discover that I missed several spots. Given the amount of time it took me to miss those spots, I decide most won't notice and move on. The creases in the pant legs go in every whichway, which isn't particularly stylish. I'm pretty sure that the flat front trousers exist because there are people who, like me, are entirely ironing inept.
In admitting that, I've decided I need a girlfriend who, regardless of her other characteristics, irons well. I certainly don't have the mental acumen to figure it out. |
