12 May 2009 :: to sickness and beyond!
I famously came down with mono a couple years back. It was a mild case that I fought through relatively well, which fit nicely into my mental perspective of myself.
Since then, my immune system has moved into a rebellious stage, and rather than staying chaste, has experimented with anything that has come along, rather than looking down the road and realizing all the hurt and pain opening the door to the transitory relationship might cause. So I've been sick constantly since.
Recently I was in Nashville for a bit. I figured I'd get sick because 16 hours of planes recycling air can do that for you. And my brother in law was nursing some mysterious illness. And I didn't manage to get much sleep.
So it is Tuesday and my head feels a little out of whack. If I end up getting sick, I'm hoping it is at least the swine flu. |
