6 May 2009  ::  Hamburger
Tonight I needed a hamburger. The night before I really wanted a hamburger, but tried to ignore the urge, but after twenty-four hours of jonesing for a burger, I caved in. You'd think it would be something an individual would feel really stoked about, but it isn't, and blame that on the lack of a good place to buy a hamburger. Obviously, fast food is out, McMenamins is a step up from McDonalds and offers half the service and after that... well, I guess I need suggestions.

Aimless, I stopped by the Carl's Jr. at the Franklin/Hilyard intersection, mainly because that was the place where Jeremy and I first had a meal together, breaking a two year streak without any fast food. I remember that food leaving me ill.

Anyway, for the cost, it was a really great burger. When I bought the burger, the cashier asked if I wanted to donate a buck, which I was loathe to do, because I'm freaking poor and there are so many things I want/need/don't need that I should be saving my money to spend it on. After all. you don't find transmissions for '89 Honda Accords dropped on the streets often, and when you do, its mine.

But the lovely cashier mentioned the donation would be for breast research, which is something I want to support with opened hands. After all, this research is the research I am second most fervent about. For my donation, I have six coupons for something free at Carl's Jr. if you buy things there. It would be a good deal if I ate there regularly, so I'll give them to whoever wants the best burger to make them sick, on the condition that we meet up at Carl's Jr. to use a couple of them.
