21 Apr 2009  ::  It is OK!
When I went shopping on Sunday I found out, to my dismay, that there were no green beans to be had. Given that I was focused on making those green beans the centerpiece of my pasta for the next 3-4 days, I was quite rudderless in the vegetable section until my eyes eventually settled on brussel sprouts.

For those who prefer a low fiber diet, brussel sprouts are the red-headed stepchild of vegetables. I think most people are fairly wary of them and I've heard more individuals proclaim a general dislike of this green bugger than any other green bugger. Really. I hadn't had them for a long time, but I think I remember liking them because while I ate them I could pretend they were baby heads.

The end result is now in, and it is this- brussel sprouts are reasonably tasty! Help B-Sprizzy break the bad rap and make it the dish du jour! And more!!

Also, I've been watching Naruto on Hulu and I'm pretty sure I like it. I'd link you to a wiki on the series, but if you are going to make fun of me for this, I'd like it if you did a little work for it first.

B-Sprizzy is one of my favorite vegetables, steamed and with a bit of butter...*drool*
I also enjoy corn, asparagus and long walks on the beach. If I had one wish it would be for world peace.

I'm totally down with B-Sprizzy! Try your globular green homie roasted or sauteed.
